| Once you get a little east of Montreal, there's another ferry to cross back across the river at Sorel. On the other side, you pick up Hwy 132 which takes you to Quebec City. | ![]() |
| This is a pretty common site on Hwy 132. Every few miles you ride right through the center of another small town. You can see them coming as they all seem to have a church with a tall spire. | ![]() |

Quebec City - (Pop 500,000) Since you're not allowed to ride motorcycles in Old Quebec City, the hotels that Sherri & I stayed in and that I would suggest for our ride is right at the edge of the old city. It's just up ahead at the end of the block on the right. Probably 200+ years old. Old Quebec City is really worth spending an extra day walking around in. There are no end of eateries and back lanes to explore. It's very much geared to the tourist but not that crass crap that you find at Niagara Falls. Hôtel Manoir de l'Esplanade, 83, rue D'Auteuil, Québec City, tel 418 694-0834,Fax: 418 692-0456 -recommended by Jean Hamelin; "located near the "Stationnement D'Youville"About $70.00 Can /night for a comfortable, if small room, but with all the charm of old Quebec in it. Book early. |

After leaving Quebec City, it's 125 miles to Riviere du Loup. We found that, with Perce as the destination for the day, we rode this stretch on the slab. We didn't like it but even with minimal stops, we didn't arrive in Perce until close to 6PM. The day's ride was 475 miles. |

Perce Perce is the tourist center for the Gaspe region. It has all of the facilities and although English speaking people can be hard to find, there seemed to be more here than anywhere else besides Quebec City. This is Perce Rock and was right across from our motel.
