I found these pine cones on steroids somewhere around Weaverville, California on the side of Hwy 299 " The pine cones on
steroids on you web site are from the Grey Pine (also known as the
Digger Pine - Digger being a derogatory term for the local Native
Americans who's only tools 150 years ago were sticks for digging -
course with all the fish and other food they didn't need tools!).
The Grey Pine is unusual in that it's the only pine that doesn't have a
single straight trunk - rather it has many crooked trunks (and huge
cones). Looks a greyish-green - very common along Hwy 299 from
Weaverville to Willow Creek." |

This is Scotia, California. It's a company town for Pacific Lumber. Lots of old buildings but probably the neatest & cleanest town in California if not the Northern Hemisphere. |
Multnomah Falls, along the Columbia River in Oregon. |

Gene Kinzell - the master at work. Gene's Versache coveralls were at the cleaners this day. Looks like he pooped this set. |
My favorite one day 400+ mile ride. Right in my own back yard. This is on the Duffey Lake road about 10 miles from Lillooet, B.C., Canada... eh |
